MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR
The bald eagle is the symbol of freedom, pride and majesty upon which the United States is based.
It is my pleasure to thank Larry Gay for his hard work and efforts in protecting this treasured
symbol. His work in bronzing a limited edition of majestic eagles is a reminder of the importance of
preserving this national symbol. It is fitting that Mr. Gay's work be installed at Dollywood, home of
the National Foundation to Protect America's Eagles.

The citizens of the state of Washington are privilidged to have Mr. Gay's work represent our great
state. The Pacific Northwest is, itself, a wildlife sanctuary for endangered species and animals, and
we understand the importance of creating habitations such as Dollywood's National Foundation to
preserve animals.

The "Land of the Free" bronze eagle that Mr. Gay is presenting to Dollywood is a reminder of our
country's past, present, and future. As citizens of the United States, we need to commit ourselves to
working to save this beautiful bird. The National Foundation to Protect America's Eagles is an
organization dedicated to preserving our national symbol. Thank you for doing such hard work so
well.
